Disinfectant Spray



What are they and why do we use them? What types are there?

Disinfectant sprays are used to create a sterile workspace for sterile technique. While you can use any branded spray, most protocols recommend 70% ethanol spray. This is made by mixing 7 parts ethanol with 3 parts water.


When do you use?

Whenever you wish to create a sterile workspace. If you’re regularly finding contamination in your work, switch your spray or remix fresh 70% EtOH.


How do you use?

Spray and wipe down the bench with paper towel. Spray hands/gloves.
